Ajilex Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, company (if given) and message. We also record the date, time and IP address of the message, to help prevent abuse.
Our web server keeps short-term technical logs (IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss work you’ve asked about. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To keep the website and our systems secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We don’t use your details for marketing, and we don’t sell or share them with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Where it’s stored
This website runs on a server rented from Hostinger in a data centre in Germany. Messages from the contact form are delivered to our email accounts with IONOS and Google. These providers process data on our behalf. Where data is stored outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years, unless they lead to work together. In that case we keep them for as long as we work together and as long as the law requires afterwards. Server logs are deleted automatically within a few weeks.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. To do this, send us a message through our contact form. We’ll reply to the email address you give.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
